Ermoupolis
The city was the most important trading and shipping center of the free Greek empire during the 19th century and was dedicated to the god of trade, Hermes.  Ermoupolis is the home of the largest density of neoclassic architecture and lies on 2 picturesque hills crowned by 2 churches.
Because of its casino with classisistic walls, its theater, and its beautiful town hall, Ermoupolis is also called the “Monte Carlo of the Aegean Sea”. All of the town congregates in the evening in the town hall square.
